Chicago Bears Speed Mini 1936
In 1936, the Chicago Bears unveiled what's been called an early version of psychedelia, a navy helmet wrapped in three bold orange stripes paired with white jerseys and a wild fourteen-stripe alternating sleeve pattern. The design only lasted a single season and was considered too loud by fans and opponents alike at the time, but Bronko Nagurski and the Bears wore it to a 9-3 record that year, and the look has since become one of the most distinctive and collectible eras in franchise history. The Bears revived this exact design as part of their centennial celebration in 2019, bringing the striped helmet back to the field for the first time in over eight decades.
