A collectible helmet is an officially licensed replica or authentic helmet produced by Riddell for display purposes. These are the same shells and colorways worn on the field, scaled or reproduced for collectors and fans who want their favorite programs represented on their shelf.

Speed Mini The most popular collector size. Speed Minis are small scale replicas that capture the full look of the on field helmet in a compact form. Perfect for shelves, cases, and desk displays. About 5.5 inches tall.
Mid Size SpeedFlex Larger than a mini but smaller than a full size. Mid Size helmets bring Riddell’s modern SpeedFlex shell to a tabletop scale, a great middle ground for collectors who want more presence on the shelf without committing to a full size piece. Roughly half scale.
Replica Speed Full size helmets built to look like the on field product. Same shell shape and colorway as the authentic, with a lighter construction designed specifically for display. A strong centerpiece for any collection at an accessible price.
Authentic Speed Full size helmets that closely mirror the on field product in construction and finish. A step above the Replica in detail and build quality, with real hardware throughout. Built for the collector who wants the closest thing to the real deal.
Authentic SpeedFlex The modern standard of the Riddell collectible lineup. The SpeedFlex shell, with its signature flex panel, has been worn across the NFL and major college programs for years. Full size, full hardware, and built to the same specification as the on field version.
Axiom Authentic The newest and most advanced helmet in Riddell’s lineup, and the current on field helmet for many NFL players. Full size with the Axiom Liner System interior, Quick Release facemask attachments, and a tinted Oakley eye shield included. For the collector who wants exactly what is on the field today.

No. All helmets sold by Faded Icons are strictly for display purposes only. They are not certified for use in any athletic activity and should never be worn. Collectible and replica helmets do not meet safety standards required for contact sports. They are designed and sold exclusively as collector pieces.
Are your helmets officially licensed?

Yes. All NFL and NCAA helmets carried by Faded Icons are officially licensed Riddell products. You're getting an authentic licensed piece, not a knockoff or unlicensed reproduction.
How do I cancel or edit an order?

Orders may be cancelled or edited within 24 hours of placement as long as they have not yet shipped. Contact us immediately at contact@fadedicons.com with your order number. Custom build orders cannot be cancelled once work has begun, since each piece is built specifically for you.
How can I track my order?

Once your order ships, you'll receive a confirmation email with your tracking number. Use it on the carrier's website to follow your shipment. If you didn't receive a tracking email, check your spam folder or contact us at contact@fadedicons.com.

If your order arrives damaged, incorrect, or incomplete, contact us within 7 days of delivery at contact@fadedicons.com with your order number and photos of the item and packaging. We'll make it right.

If items are missing from your order, contact us at contact@fadedicons.com with your order number. Orders with multiple items may ship in separate packages, so check your tracking information first to see if a second shipment is on the way.

We accept all major credit and debit cards including Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover. We also accept Shop Pay, Apple Pay, and Google Pay at checkout.

We accept returns within 30 days of delivery on unused items in their original condition and packaging. Return shipping is free. Custom builds, one-of-one pieces, and pre-owned helmets are final sale.

Email us at contact@fadedicons.com with your order number and reason for return. Once approved, we'll send you a prepaid return label and instructions. Return shipping is free.

Exchanges are handled on a case by case basis depending on availability. Contact us at contact@fadedicons.com and we will do our best to accommodate your request.

Most orders are processed within 1–3 business days and arrive within 3–10 business days, depending on your location. You'll receive a tracking number once your order ships. Custom builds typically ship within 1–2 weeks after payment, and we'll keep you updated throughout the process.

Yes. Orders over $150 qualify for free standard shipping within the contiguous United States. Orders under $150 are charged standard rates at checkout.

What is a custom build?
A custom build is a one of one helmet created by Faded Icons. We start with a real Riddell shell and add custom touches including facemask clips, swapped facemasks, colored visors, colored chin straps and more. No two builds are exactly alike.
How do I order a custom build?

Ready-made builds are available on our Custom Builds collection page and can be purchased directly. For a helmet built to your vision, fill out the form on our Start Your Build page and we'll get back to you within 24–48 hours with your build details and invoice.
Can I request a specific team or colorway for a custom build?

No. All custom builds and one of one pieces are final sale. Each piece is unique and built to order so we are unable to accept returns on custom work.
