Madison has been running the ball and winning Big Ten games since before most programs had a playbook, and this UW throwback mini Speed reaches back to the era when the helmet said exactly what the university was and nothing more. The white shell wears the block UW in cardinal red across the full panel, letterforms large enough to fill the surface with a directness that the modern W mark trades away for sleekness. A thin red crown stripe sits at the top, and a grey face mask completes the period-appropriate presentation with the same hardware restraint that makes a well-executed throwback feel genuinely historical rather than just nostalgic.
