The gold throwback reaches its definitive form here. At the Authentic Speed tier the metallic copper-gold shell arrives with the shell construction, interior padding, face mask fitment, and Riddell badge on the jaw pad that define what separates the genuine article from everything below it, and on a finish this distinctive and a logo treatment this historically specific that physical authenticity adds a dimension no product image fully captures. The vintage WVU mark with the stacked block letters and light blue state outline is rendered at full Authentic specification, the four-color graphic treatment carrying the licensed fidelity that the replica approximates but cannot fully match, the navy, gold, light blue, and white reading together with a precision and depth that only this tier delivers. The grey face mask sits in the same cool register it does on the replica, the hardware choice remaining period-appropriate across every surface.
