Officially licensed Riddell collectible.

The black shell at full size is where the alternate colorway makes its most complete argument. The Riddell Replica Speed Black brings Texas Tech Red Raiders football to display scale in an all-black shell with the double T decal in scarlet and white that hits with a visual force at full size that the mini format can suggest but never fully deliver. At full size the scarlet detail cutting through the black shell has a depth and contrast that commands a shelf from across the room, aggressive and sharp and carrying the kind of visual energy that makes alternate colorway full size replicas the pieces collectors reach for first when they want something that stops people in their tracks.

Black shell full size replicas occupy the most visually dramatic lane in any college collection and the Texas Tech entry is one of the stronger arguments for that category in the Big 12. The double T in scarlet against a full size black shell is a completely different proposition than the same graphic on the primary scarlet lid, darker, more forceful, and with a presence that rewards the step up from the black mini in a way that justifies the full size format immediately.

For Red Raiders collectors who have the scarlet and white replicas the black full size completes the Texas Tech display story at every major colorway the program has put on the field. Three helmets, three distinct visual identities, one of the more complete single program displays in the Big 12 collector market.
