The final days of football in San Diego, sealed and preserved. This San Diego Chargers Speed Mini carries the gold lightning bolt outlined in navy and powder blue on a crisp white shell, with a matching navy facemask. Dated February 2016 and labeled San Diego Chargers on the box, it comes from the franchise’s last season in America’s Finest City, the Philip Rivers and Antonio Gates years at Qualcomm Stadium, before the team announced its move to Los Angeles in January 2017.
A true piece of history for Bolts fans on both ends of the 405 and anyone building a complete Speed Mini set. It has never been displayed or opened, and still sits sealed in its original Riddell display cube with the NFL holographic authentication sticker attached. The bolt design carried over into the Chargers’ first Los Angeles seasons, but the San Diego name on this box marks the end of an era. Ready for the shelf.
