New York Jets Speed Mini 1998 - 2018
When Bill Parcells arrived as head coach in 1997, he wanted the Jets to look like a team that had won before, and the 1998 redesign delivered exactly that, returning the franchise to a white shell with the updated oval logo that paid direct homage to the Super Bowl III era look. The kelly green gave way to a darker hunter green, the logo shifted from football-shaped to a cleaner oval with starker lettering, and the overall effect tied the modern Jets back to the most celebrated chapter in franchise history. The design carried the team through two decades, from the 1998 AFC Championship Game run under Parcells and Vinny Testaverde all the way through Rex Ryan's back-to-back conference championship appearances in 2009 and 2010 and beyond.
