New York Jets Authentic Speed 2019 - 2023
In 2019 the New York Jets overhauled their identity for the first time in over two decades, introducing the "Gotham Green" shade and returning to a green helmet for the first time since 1997. The new primary shell carried a redesigned wordmark logo, dropping the oval entirely in favor of a bold, football-shaped "JETS" with a miniature football graphic, paired with a black facemask that brought black back into the visual identity as a true trim color rather than an accent. The look was meant to signal a new era for a franchise that had missed the playoffs every year since Rex Ryan's 2010 run, and it coincided with the arrival of Sam Darnold before Aaron Rodgers ultimately joined the team in 2023 in a tenure that ended almost before it started.
