Columbia runs gold and black, and on this Authentic SpeedFlex the black side of that equation takes full control. The gloss black shell gives the oval Tiger head logo the kind of backdrop it was built for, the gold and white graphic burning against the dark surface with a contrast that makes one of the SEC's most recognizable marks look genuinely menacing. A gold and white crown stripe runs the length of the shell, the only additional color on an otherwise all-black presentation that includes the face mask, hardware, and every surface between. The result is a helmet that feels like it belongs in a trophy case and on a field at the same time.

The SpeedFlex platform delivers everything the Authentic tier promises at its highest level: the flexible front panel, the interior padding and construction built to on-field specifications, the face mask fitment and hardware tolerances that separate this from every replica in the catalog, and the Riddell badge on the jaw pad confirming the pedigree. The gloss black finish on the SpeedFlex shell carries a depth that matte alternates trade away for subtlety, and here that gloss lets the Tiger oval command the full panel without apology.

Mizzou football in the SEC era has earned a harder edge. This helmet wears it.
