Details
Officially licensed Riddell collectible.
There is only one undefeated season in NFL history, and this is the helmet the Miami Dolphins wore when they achieved it. The 1972 Dolphins went 17-0 under Don Shula, capping the perfect season with a Super Bowl VII victory over the Washington Redskins, with Bob Griese, Larry Csonka, Paul Warfield, and the No-Name Defense carrying the franchise to the most complete single-season record the sport has ever produced. The logo on this helmet is the original circular sunburst version, a lighter, more delicate rendering of the leaping dolphin against an orange ring with fine radial lines that predates the bolder, more defined versions that came after the 1973 redesign. The gray facemask completes the early-era look.
