Officially licensed Riddell collectible.

The highest level of alternate identity Indianapolis Colts football comes in. The Riddell Authentic Speed 2023 On‑Field Alternate Indiana Nights brings the Colts’ most dramatic modern look to full authentic spec construction in the Speed shell, a midnight black shell with the iridescent blue horseshoe decal and a matching blue facemask, built to the same standards as the helmets worn during primetime games at Lucas Oil Stadium. At authentic level the black shell finish has a depth and precision that the replica lineup approximates but cannot match, and the iridescent blue horseshoe decal at authentic spec shifts and catches light exactly as it does on the field—clean, sharp, and unlike anything the franchise has ever produced at any size or price point.

The Indiana Nights helmet, introduced in 2023, represents a bold departure from the Colts’ traditionally clean white‑and‑blue aesthetic. Inspired by the night skies over Indiana, the black shell features a reflective blue horseshoe that changes character from every angle, a modern tribute to the franchise’s deep Midwest roots and its willingness to push visual boundaries. This is the authentic helmet worn during select primetime and alternate uniform games, instantly becoming a fan favorite and a legitimate collector’s piece due to its limited on‑field usage and striking originality. Authentics at the professional level carry a different weight than standard alternates because the production runs are extremely limited, the on‑field window is narrow, and the collector base for unique franchise variations is deeply passionate. Colts faithful who want the definitive version of the Indiana Nights helmet have one option at this level and this is it. The combination of full authentic construction and a genuinely new visual language for one of the NFL’s most tradition‑rich franchises creates a piece that holds its own against anything else in a serious collection regardless of era, Super Bowl pedigree, or uniform history. Black and iridescent blue at authentic spec is one of the most visually arresting and conversation‑starting helmet combinations the market produces at any price point.

The weight, the padding, the shell finish, the blue facemask, the hardware, all of it present at game‑level quality in the black and blue that redefines what Colts football can look like under the lights. From its debut in 2023, the Indiana Nights design signaled a new era of creative expression, and its limited on‑field rotation makes each authentic example a genuine snapshot of a specific moment in franchise history. For serious collectors this is where the Colts alternate collection ends. For anyone who believes that a black Colts helmet with an iridescent blue horseshoe is one of the sharpest and most distinctive looks in the entire league, this is the only version of this helmet worth owning.
