Officially licensed Riddell collectible.
The breakout season at full size. This Riddell Replica Speed brings Detroit's 2023 on-field alternate colorway to display scale, an all-black shell with the leaping lion decal in blue and silver that captures the energy of a franchise that spent that season announcing itself to the rest of the league. At full size the black shell carries a weight that the mini simply cannot replicate, and the metallic lion detail against the dark finish is as sharp a contrast as any alternate design in the NFC that year.
The Replica Speed format is where this colorway makes its full argument. On a shelf next to the classic Honolulu blue or the 1983 to 2002 silver throwback, the 2023 alternate in black at full size reframes the entire display. Three helmets, three distinct eras, three completely different visual identities telling the full story of Detroit football in one case.
The 2023 season was the turning point for this franchise and this helmet is the artifact that marks it. Alternate colorway production runs do not get replenished once Riddell closes them out. For Lions collectors who want the complete picture, this is the piece that finishes it.
