Officially licensed Riddell collectible.

This is the real thing. The Riddell Authentic Speed is the same helmet worn by Detroit Lions players on the field during the 2017 to 2023 seasons, built to NFL specifications with the full internal padding system, the Speed shell construction, and every structural detail that separates a true authentic from anything below it in the Riddell lineup. Honolulu blue shell, leaping lion decals, white face mask, and the kind of build quality that is immediately apparent the moment you pick it up.

Authentics occupy a completely different tier in the collector market and the reason is tactile as much as visual. The weight, the fit of the padding, the hardware on the face mask, the chin strap, all of it is present and correct in a way that no replica at any size can approximate. On a shelf or in a case an authentic reads as a game level piece because it is one. The 2017 to 2023 colorway in the Speed shell is the modern Lions identity rendered at the highest possible level of fidelity.

For serious collectors this is the ceiling. For anyone building a Lions collection who wants one piece that represents the franchise at full authenticity, the Authentic Speed in the current era colorway is the definitive answer.
