Chicago Bears Speed Mini 1962 - 1973

In 1962, the Chicago Bears introduced their now legendary wishbone C for the first time, an all-white logo trimmed in black that replaced the navy bear head the franchise had worn since the early 1940s. Paired with a gray facemask and gloss navy shell, this clean, classic look anchored over a decade of Bears football, including the 1963 NFL Championship win over the New York Giants at Wrigley Field. It's also the helmet most associated with the era of Hall of Famers Dick Butkus and Gale Sayers, both selected with back to back picks in the 1965 draft. The white C gave way to the now familiar orange version in 1974, but the franchise paid tribute to this earlier design in 2019, breaking it out for a single game against the Giants in a nod to that championship era.
